To prevent unsafe runaway acceleration, Hui Lian incorporates integrated direct-drive centrifugal speed controllers. The choice depends on pallet quality and variation. Full-width steel rollers offer continuous support, making them suitable for wooden pallets with bottom runners, heavy loads, or mismatched pallet designs. Split-skate wheels work well for standardized plastic pallets or solid-bottom containers where directional guidance is critical.
How does slope angle relate to cargo weight in FIFO systems?
Generally, lighter loads (200kg - 500kg) require a slightly steeper incline (around 3.5% - 4%) to initiate and maintain movement down the lane. Heavier loads (over 1000kg) generate enough gravitational force to flow easily on a gentler 2.5% - 3% incline. Setting the slope too steep for heavy loads puts excessive pressure on the brake rollers.
What maintenance is required for gravity flow systems?
